Service Station Portfolio Facility Audit Program

ARC Environmental was engaged to undertake third-party facility audits for 42 service station sites and depots located across regional Victoria, NSW and South Australia.

The facility Audits were required to provide an assessment of environmental hazards posed by the Underground Petroleum Storage System (UPSS) infrastructure, and to provide a review of site-specific environmental risk management measures. The audits focused on environmental liabilities and ensuring compliance with Underground Petroleum Storage System (UPSS) guidance relevant for each state, including the testing of groundwater monitoring wells to detect hydrocarbons. Where non-compliance items were identified, specific recommendations were made for rectification.
